A sober companion is a professional who provides personalized, one-on-one support to individuals in recovery from substance use disorders, helping them stay sober and navigate the challenges of early recovery. Unlike a recovery coach, who typically works with a broader focus on life goals and long-term recovery, a sober companion is often more hands-on and focused on providing direct support during the vulnerable phases of early sobriety.
A recovery coach is a person who helps individuals in recovery from substance use disorders or other life challenges like mental health issues, trauma, or behavioral problems.
